Ms. Franco Recognized as FCPS CARES of the Month Recipient!
Congratulations to Ms. Christine Franco on being recognized as the September Region 4 FCPS CARES of the Month by the Department of Human Resources!
Below is the write up submitted by a Keene Mill Elementary School parent.
We are a military family who moved from Germany to Fairfax County during this past summer, 2021. We knew no one at Keene Mill Elementary school where my daughter would be attending and because we arrived during the summer months, many of the offices were, understandably, closed. I was having a difficult time enrolling my daughter, thanks to some unique paper work challenges, until Ms. Chris Franco learned of my situation. Immediately, Ms. Franco took it upon herself to see that our transition was stress-free. She walked me through the process over the phone and even called me several times to give me progress reports as to how the enrollment process was going. She was encouraging, patient, professional, and a God-send to our family. I will forever associate Keene Mill Elementary school with Ms. Chris Franco and recall the "Earth Angel" who so obviously cared about my child and our family and represented her position as a registrar with such admirable professionalism and humanity. It is my hope that every military family coming into FCPS will be fortunate enough to encounter an extraordinary individual like Ms. Franco.
