KM in the AM
Student News Show
KM in the AM is the Keene Mill morning news television program. It is recorded every day and then shown to the entire school every morning during morning meeting. Sixth graders apply for positions on KM in the AM and news crew members are rotated throughout the school year.
The crew members (director, anchors, scriptwriter, and producer) are in charge of the whole process from writing to production. They write the daily script to include birthdays, pertinent school happenings, and daily segments such as Teacher Tuesday and Workout Wednesday. Then, as a crew, they film show, cut and edit, and produce the final product.
