Principal Peace Recognized as the FCPS 2022 Region 4 Outstanding New Principal
Mr. Lachance, Ms. Ryan, Mr. Boyars, and Mr. Zachary Also Recognized at FCPS Honors!
Congratulations to Principal Linda Peace who was recognized as the FCPS 2022 Region 4 Outstanding New Principal and one of the five finalists for the FCPS Outstanding New Principal at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at George Mason University Center for the Arts on June 8th.
Linda has worked diligently to reconnect the Keene Mill School community from day one. She has focused on creating a caring culture and ensuring that students and staff felt safe as they returned to in-person instruction. She greets the students during arrival and spends time with them during unstructured times, such as recess, to hear about what they are learning. Linda instituted a Walk and Talk for the staff to share thoughts and focus on staff wellness. She encourages teachers to share resources, learn from each other, and increase their professional knowledge and efficacy to best serve the students. Linda promotes and works for diversity, equity, and cultural responsiveness by providing professional development and having courageous conversations with staff members.
Congratulations also to the other Keene Mill Elementary School staff members recognized at FCPS Honors!
